Meet Oscar.
Accredited Exercise Physiologist at EP360.
I’ve been working as an Exercise Physiologist since 2012. In that time, I’ve worked with a wide range of people — office workers, tradies, athletes, and everyone in between.
What I see consistently is this: most people with persistent back pain have already put in the effort. They’ve tried plenty of things. What they’re missing isn’t motivation — it’s a clear, structured plan that actually progresses over time.
That’s what the Beyond Back Pain program is built around.
I hold a Masters in Clinical Exercise Physiology and my background is in musculoskeletal rehabilitation. I work from EP360’s St Peters clinic and keep my caseload focused so every client gets proper time and attention.
If you’ve been going in circles, I’d like to help you find a clearer path forward.

FAQ
Questions about Beyond Back Pain?
Who is this program for?
This program is designed for people dealing with persistent or recurring back pain who want to get back to moving confidently again. It’s particularly helpful if you’ve tried rest, treatments, or short-term fixes but still feel limited by pain during everyday activities, work, or exercise.
What if I’m not sure this program is right for me?
That’s completely understandable. Most people who join this program have already tried several approaches and are unsure whether anything will truly help.
The Beyond Back Pain program begins with a comprehensive initial assessment that helps us understand your situation, goals, and what may be contributing to your pain. From there we create a personalised plan designed around your current capacity and what you want to get back to.
If we don’t think the program is the right fit for you, we’ll tell you and help guide you toward a more appropriate option.
What if I’ve already tried physio, massage, or other treatments and nothing worked?
Many people who join this program have already tried multiple treatments.
While some approaches focus mainly on short-term symptom relief, this program focuses on building long-term resilience through movement, strength, and better understanding of pain.
The goal is to help you move confidently again and return to the activities that matter to you.
What if exercise usually makes my back pain worse?
This is a very common concern.
Your program begins with a detailed assessment so we understand your pain triggers and current capacity. Exercises are then carefully selected and progressed at a pace that feels manageable and safe for you.
The aim isn’t pushing through pain, it’s gradually rebuilding tolerance and confidence in movement.
What kind of support will I receive during the program?
You’ll be supported throughout the entire program so you’re never left figuring things out alone.
Support includes:
- Weekly check-ins
- Direct messaging support for questions
- Monthly review calls
- Bounce-Back calls if a flare-up occurs
This allows us to adjust your plan as you progress and keep you moving forward with confidence.
Will I receive hands-on treatment like massage or manual therapy?
This program focuses on building long-term resilience and confidence in movement, rather than relying on passive treatments.
While hands-on treatments can sometimes provide short-term relief, they typically don’t address the underlying factors that allow pain to keep returning.
Instead, we focus on strength, movement confidence, and strategies to manage flare-ups independently.
Why is the program 3 months long?
Meaningful change with persistent back pain usually takes consistent practice over time.
The 3-month structure allows us to:
- Progress your exercises gradually
- Adjust your plan as your capacity improves
- Support you through flare-ups
- Build habits that support long-term improvement
The goal is not just short-term relief, but lasting confidence in your back.
Will this program work if I’m looking for a quick fix?
This program is designed for people who are ready to actively work toward improving their back pain, rather than relying on short-term fixes.
Many people notice improvements within the first few weeks, but lasting change comes from gradually building strength, movement confidence, and better flare-up management.
How do I know if this program will work for me?
Everyone’s back pain experience is different, which is why the program starts with a detailed assessment to understand your history, movement patterns, and what you want to get back to.
From there, we create a personalised plan tailored to your situation, rather than using a generic approach. As you progress, your program is adjusted and refined to support continued improvement and help you manage flare-ups along the way.
While no program can guarantee specific results, this structured and personalised approach is designed to give you the support, guidance, and progression needed to make meaningful change over time. This is not just about reducing pain, but regaining confidence and returning to the activities that matter to you.
